Crock Pot Soups FAQs
When do you add pasta, rice and dairy to crock pot soup?
Near the end. Pasta goes in for the last 10 to 45 minutes, and cream and cheese go in late so they stay smooth. Wild rice blend is the exception and cooks the whole time.
Can you freeze crock pot soups?
Most broth-based beef, bean and pea soups freeze well. Creamy, cheesy and pasta soups are best fresh, so freeze them before you add the pasta or dairy.
Should I cook crock pot soup on Low or High?
Most of these soups give you both. Low is best for all-day cooking, and High is handy when you start later. The French onion soup cooks on High only.
