Brown Sugar Glazed Carrots

These brown sugar glazed carrots are tender, buttery, and coated in a sweet glaze. An easy stovetop side dish with old fashioned flavor that’s perfect for holidays or everyday meals.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ pounds carrots, peeled and sliced
  • ¼ cup butter
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • salt to taste
  • ½ teaspoon apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoons chopped parsley

Method
 

  1. Simmer carrots in water for 8 to 10 minutes until tender.
  2. Drain and return carrots to the pan.
  3. Add butter, brown sugar, and salt and stir until melted.
  4. Cook until glaze thickens and coats carrots, then serve.

Notes

  • Cut carrots into evenly sized pieces so they cook at the same rate.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-5 days.
  • Reheat gently on the stovetop over low heat for 5–7 minutes until warmed through.
  • A tiny pinch of cinnamon adds a nice touch.
