Crock Pot Tater Tot Casserole

This old fashioned slow cooker tater tot casserole is creamy, hearty, and topped with classic tater tots. A cozy, family friendly dinner made easy.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef, browned and drained
  • 15 ounce can corn, drained
  • 1 can cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 bag frozen tater tots, about 20 ounces

Method
 

  1. Spray the slow cooker and add all ingredients except tater tots. Stir well.
  2. Spread frozen tater tots evenly over the top.
  3. Cook until hot and bubbly and tater tots are cooked through.
  4. Broil briefly if desired, then serve.

Notes

  • Brown and drain the beef before adding
  • Broil briefly for a lightly crisp top if desired
  • Reheats well for leftovers
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days
