  • 1 20 oz can pineapple tidbits, well drained
  • 1 11 oz can mandarin oranges, well drained
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
  • ¼ cup maraschino cherries halved, plus more for garnish (optional)

Equipment

  • large bowl
  • colander
  • can opener

Method

  1. 8 oz Cool Whip whipped topping, thawed
  2. ½ cup sour cream
  3. 1 (20 oz) can pineapple tidbits, well drained
  4. 1 (11 oz) can mandarin oranges, well drained
  5. 1 cup mini marshmallows
  6. 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
  7. ¼ cup maraschino cherries, halved, plus more for garnish (optional)

Notes

  • Drain the fruit well: excess liquid can make the salad watery.
  • Make ahead: refrigerate overnight to let the flavors blend and the marshmallows soften.
  • Optional variation: fold in ½ cup chopped pecans for extra crunch.
