Ingredients
  

  • 6 ears fresh corn, husks removed
  • Water, enough to fully cover the corn
  • 2 tablespoons sugar option
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 4 tablespoons butter melted

Method
 

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Stir in the sugar and salt if using.
  2. Carefully add the corn to the boiling water and cover the pot.
  3. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes, or until the kernels are tender.
  4. Remove the corn, brush with melted butter, and season lightly with salt before serving.

Notes

  • Fresh corn cooks quickly, so avoid overcooking.
  • Sugar is optional but adds traditional sweetness.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
