Total Time 1 hour 15 minutes
Servings: 8 people
Course: Dessert

Ingredients

  • 2 15 ounce cans fruit cocktail in juice
  • 20 ounce can pineapple chunks in juice
  • 8 ounce can mandarin orange slices
  • 10 ounce bag mini marshmallows
  • 24 ounce container of sour cream
  • 3 ounce box orange flavored gelatin

Method

  1. Drain the fruit cocktail, pineapple, and mandarin oranges well. For the best texture, let the fruit sit in a colander until most of the liquid has drained away.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the sour cream and orange gelatin powder until smooth and fully combined.
  3. Add the drained fruit and mini marshmallows. Fold gently until everything is evenly coated.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to overnight for the best flavor.
  5. Stir gently before serving and enjoy chilled.

Notes

  • Drain the fruit thoroughly for the best texture.
  • For a sweeter fluff salad, replace half of the sour cream with an equal amount of Cool Whip.
  • Make the salad several hours ahead for the best flavor.
  • Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Chopped pecans or shredded coconut make delicious additions.
