Easy Slow Cooker Spareribs

These old fashioned easy slow cooker spareribs are tender, sticky, and full of sweet savory flavor. A simple comfort food dinner that cooks low and slow with almost no effort.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 rack baby back ribs
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • ¼ cup dark soy sauce
  • ¼ cup sweet soy sauce
  • ¼ cup raw honey
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika powder
  • ½ teaspoon cumin

Method
 

  1. Combine onion powder, paprika, and cumin and rub evenly over the ribs.
  2. Mix garlic, dark soy sauce, sweet soy sauce, and honey until combined. Brush over ribs, reserving some sauce.
  3. Cut ribs in half and place in the slow cooker.
  4. Cook on Low for 7 to 8 hours or High for 4 to 5 hours, brushing with reserved sauce every hour.

Notes

  • Cut ribs in half to fit easily in the slow cooker
  • Brush with extra sauce during cooking for the best flavor
  • Cooking on Low gives the most tender ribs
  • Leftovers keep well in the refrigerator for up to 3 days
