- Preheat the oven to 375°F and lightly grease a baking dish. Cook the ziti until just al dente, then drain well.
- In a large mixing bowl, stir together the cooked pasta, marinara sauce, and ricotta until evenly combined.
- Spoon the mixture into the prepared baking dish and top evenly with the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
- Bake for about 30 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbling. Let the casserole rest for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Penne or rigatoni can be substituted for ziti.
- Add cooked ground beef or Italian sausage for a heartier casserole.
- Cottage cheese works well in place of ricotta.
