Slow Cooker Mac and Cheese

This old fashioned crockpot mac and cheese is rich, creamy, and full of classic comfort food flavor. An easy slow cooker recipe made with simple ingredients.

Ingredients
  

  • 16 ounce block Velveeta cheese
  • 16 ounce box elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 3 teaspoons ground black pepper
  • 8 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 8 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded

Method
 

  1. Coat the crockpot with cooking spray. Place Velveeta cheese in the center and add macaroni around it.
  2. Pour in milk and cream, making sure noodles are submerged. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Add mozzarella and cheddar cheeses.
  4. Cook on High for 2 hours, stirring every 30 minutes. Stir until creamy and serve warm.

Notes

  • Stir every 30 minutes for the smoothest sauce
  • Make sure noodles are fully covered with liquid
  • Best served fresh and warm
  • Leftovers keep well for 3 to 5 days in the refrigerator
