Method
- Brown ground beef in a large pot and drain excess grease.
- Add onion and cook until soft, then stir in garlic.
- Stir in tomato paste, then add tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, water, and seasonings.
- Simmer, then add macaroni and cook until tender. Let sit before serving.
Notes
- Add a pinch of sugar if the sauce tastes too acidic
- Add a splash of water if it becomes too thick
- Optional: top with shredded cheddar when serving (not traditional, but popular)
